Square Cow Moovers is proud to sponsor, for the 3rd year in a row, Steiner Ranch Movies (or Moovies in the Park, as we like to call them). Steiner Ranch Movies in the Park is a summer outdoor movie series held in Towne Square Community Center. We simply couldn’t resist hosting a moovie event in the Towne Square (since we are Square Cow Moovers).
Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to view the movie under the stars. Seating is first come, first serve, so you may want to make plans to arrive early. The movies are shown on Reel Big Screens, which are large inflatable screens that the movie is projected on.
The movies chosen for this year are Night at the Museum on June 27th and The Blind Side on August 8th.
Night at the Museum stars Ben Stiller as a newly hired security guard for the Museum of Natural History. An ancient curse at the museum brings the animals and exhibits to life at night. This movie is rated PG and is a great film for family members of all ages to enjoy together.
The Blind Side is rated PG-13 and is intended for a slightly older audience, but this is still a great family film. This movie is based on the true story of Michael Oher, a homeless boy who became an All American football player and first round NFL draft pick thanks to the help of a caring family. This movie stars Sandra Bullock, Quinton Aaron, and Tim McGraw.
Moviegoers will also have the opportunity to win an iPad. The sponsors for this event include: Dr. James R. Waters, DDS, School In The Hills, Square Cow Movers, Brandy Finnessey Broker, Associate at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate,TLC Home Inspections and Reel Big Screens. They will be giving away an iPad at each of the movies shown this year.
Concessions will be available for purchase and proceeds will benefit the Lady Vipers Lacrosse team. The athletes will be running the concession stand themselves to help raise funds to pay for fields, equipment, referees, coaching, and scholarships. Vipers Lacrosse is a nonprofit organization committed to developing and promoting the play of youth lacrosse in the community.
