Square Cow Moovers - Your Professional Moving Company

We’re going to be honest with you.  The secret to having a consistently clean house involves cleaning on a daily basis, but don’t let that deter you!  Cleaning every day isn’t time consuming, it means you only clean for a short time each day.

For many people, the best time to clean is before company comes over or if your family uses a cleaning service, before the maid comes over.  Don’t ask us why we clean before the cleaners come over, just trust us, it happens.

You can restore some sanity to your home by breaking down chores into smaller manageable portions.  Instead of spending hours on a Saturday playing catch-up and cleaning the house, spend 20 minutes daily on a focused task.

Each day of the week should have its own task.  For instance: Mondays are for dusting, Tuesdays are for vacuuming, Wednesdays are for mopping, Thursdays are for cleaning bathrooms, Fridays are for detailing the kitchen and Saturdays are for washing sheets and towels, etc. Your home will remain perpetually clean as you tackle one task daily.

Cleaning never really ends, after all, there are actual people living in your home, but if you arm yourself with a cleaning battle plan, messes are less overwhelming with a strategy in place.

Make a weekly cleaning schedule even more effective by mixing in a few daily tasks.  We suggest the following daily:

Want extra credit?  Decrease time spent cleaning by sharing the chores and spreading them out amongst family members.  Even the youngest family members can help clear the table after dinner or put away their own clothes.  Set the expectation from an early age that everyone that lives in your home, can help keep it clean!

If you can’t meet your daily cleaning goal, don’t sweat it. The weekly cleaning schedule makes it easy for you to get back on track the next day. The beauty of cleaning daily means that missing one day won’t derail your whole week, and your house will still be (mostly) clean.  The unexpected can happen at any time, so dedicate just a few minutes to daily cleaning, that way you are free to focus on more important things.
