November in Nashville – Fun Fall Festivities

In Music City, the event calendar is jam-packed every month of the year. During November things really get lively as everyone starts getting ready for the holiday season. If you’re in the Nashville area, here’s some of the fall festivities you have to look forward to this November.

November 2nd – Brentwood Christmas Crawl

Get your holiday shopping off to an early start at the Brentwood Christmas Crawl. Over a dozen neighborhood shops participate with special promotions and offers that are only available during the event.

November 2nd-4th Third Coast Improv Fest

Comedy lovers will want to get down to the Third Coast Comedy Club on the weekend of November 2nd through the 4th for their big festival. Twenty-eight improv troupes from around the U.S. will perform skits that will have you in stitches.

November 8th – 51st CMA Music Awards

No event is bigger or more star-studded in Nashville than the CMA Music Awards. If you’re lucky enough to score a ticket, you’ll be rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest names in country music.

Of course, CMA tickets are hard to come by and somewhat pricy. Locals can still be part of the action at CMA viewing parties around the city. New Country 93.3 is just one of many local companies that plan to host a 2017 CMA watch party.

November 10th to January 1st – A Country Christmas

Gaylord Opryland is the place to be during the holiday season. A Country Christmas draws in thousands of visitors with 3 million lights, displays and performances that transform Gaylord Opryland into a winter wonderland. The interactive ice sculptures are something you don’t want to miss. This year the displays feature A Charlie Brown Christmas.

Starting November 24th – Holiday LIGHTS

The last week of November marks the beginning of Holiday LIGHTS at the Cheekwood Botanical Garden & Museum. The gardens are illuminated by a million twinkling lights, and families can enjoy special events during the weekend.

November 27th – CMA Country Christmas

Shortly after the CMA Music Awards the fun continues with the CMA Country Christmas. The annual star-studded event is a favorite way to kick off the Christmas holiday. Country musicians share their holiday stories and lead the audience in singing classic Christmas tunes.
