This Friday, December 7, the Houston Symphony will be performing at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavillion at 7:30 PM. The Holly Jolly Symphony Spectacular is more than just music! Westside High School’s Inertia Dance Company will also perform with the symphony during the songs “Toot, Toot, Tootie, Toot” and “Sugar Rum Cherry” from “The Nutcracker,” as well as to “Dance of the Buffoons” from “The Snow Maiden.” If music and dancing aren’t enough to keep your little ones entertained, perhaps arts and crafts with Santa and Frosty will captivate their attention. Arrive early at 6 PM to enjoy carolers in the North Plaza which will be decorated like the North Pole. Train rides aboard the Candy Cane Express will also be available beginning at 5:30 PM. One of the most unique things about the Holly Jolly Symphony Spectacular is the snow! Texans don’t always have the opportunity to enjoy snow during the Holiday Season, but real snow will be on hand at this event to delight visitors of all ages. This concert won’t cost you an arm and a leg, tickets for orchestra seating are $15, while mezzanine and lawn seating are free!
