October brings cooler weather and the spookiest time of the year!  It’s time for goblins, ghouls, ghosts, grave yards, witches, black cats, scarecrows and leering pumpkins.  When you move to a new neighborhood, you have the opportunity to learn about that community’s holiday traditions and evens.  If you have recently moved to The Woodlands area, like being scared and want to get into the Halloween Spirit, perhaps you should check out the Haunted Trail Doomsday Hospital.  The Haunted Trail is an annual event hosted by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department at The Woodlands Recreation Center. The tagline of this year’s theme is “Doomsday Hospital: Patients check in but they don’t check out.”  You have five opportunities to enter the Haunted Trail, Fridays, October 19 and 26, and Saturdays, October 13, 20 and 27.  The Trail is open from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM on each of these nights, but no tickets will be sold after 9:30 PM.  Tickets are $8, but you can bring up to three canned goods to receive a maximum of $3 off a ticket. The donated canned goods will go to The Woodlands Interfaith Food Pantry.  The Haunted Trail is recommended for children ages 9 and older.  For more information: http://www.thewoodlands.net/evps/evitem.cfm?ID=3782
