The theme for this year’s Children’s Festival is “Stop! Children at Play!”.  This weekend on Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th, your family can enjoy quality children’s entertainment at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavillion in The Woodlands.  From 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday and from 12 PM to 5 PM on Sunday, a variety of activities from musical performances to interactive games are available to your family.  The diverse range of activities includes: parades, parachute races, panning for gold, face painting, chalk art, crafts, a petting zoo, a train ride, an ambulance to explore, a giant game of “Operation,” and even a teddy bear clinic.  The 17th Annual Children’s Festival features musical performer’s KIDZ BOP Kids, Sing-Along with Barney™, Roger Day & the Mosquito Burrito Brothers Band, Manding Jata, and Trout Fishing in America.  Sponsors of this annual event hope that it will inspire creativity in children and help children to develop an appreciation for the visual and performing arts.  The different tents and zones are designed to help children learn about fitness, nutrition, creativity, and the arts.  For more information: http://www.woodlandscenter.org/childrens_festival_info.html
