This upcoming Saturday, September 15, the Breast Cancer Charities of America (BCA) is sponsoring a sprint event at Market Street at the Woodlands to benefit the Help Now Fund. The Help Now Fund is an emergency assistance program that helps those with breast cancer pay rent and utilities. This isn’t just your normal charity run, it’s a Stiletto Sprint. Running shoes will not be de rigueur for the day, rather everyone will be decked out in stilettos, tutus and an assortment of other fun and wacky fashions. Not only will women have the opportunity to participate in this awesome event, but men can don some stilettos for the men’s stiletto sprint competition. Kids can run too in a non-competitive sneaker sprint! The whole family can enjoy a ballon artist, arts and crafts, food, music, mascots and more in the family zone. Prizes will be awarded to 1st place adult winners, all kid participants and there is even a costume contest. If running isn’t your thing, you can join the sprit squad and cheer on all the other runners. Who could turn down a day of fun while also supporting a great charity? Don your stilettos, best tutu and take-off!
