The kids are home for Christmas break, they have opened all the presents, played with all the toys, and everyone is ready to get out of the house.  Texans aren’t used to this strange phenomenon called winter, so staying indoors is a must. Another trip to the movies will cost you $75, so what’s a family to do? The Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum has a great new exhibit that just opened this month, Women Shaping Texas in the 20th Century.  This is a special temporary exhibit that will only be up for a few months.  Your out-of-town family may have visited the TSHM before, but they haven’t seen this exhibit.  Christmas doesn’t have to be all about presents and toys, help your kids develop an appreciation for the past by attending this educational exhibit.  Both boys and girls can learn about what life was like for Texas women in the 20th century and gain a greater understanding of how they benefit from the works of past generations.  For more information and to watch a video and interview about the exhibit, please visit: http://www.thestoryoftexas.com/exhibits/current-special-exhibit
