Sure there are plenty of Halloween themed festivals, trails, parties and events that offer the usual fare of candy and costume contests, but are you looking for a celebration that is a little more outside of the box? Lakeway’s Great Goblin Glow, may be just what you are looking for. This Saturday, October 27, from 7-9 PM, hot air balloons will illuminate the night sky at Lakeway City Park. We have yet to hear or read about another Halloween event that has hot air balloons! This is a unique way to get into the Halloween spirit with your family. Children can enjoy some of the usual Halloween activities, like wearing their costumes, but can also experience an amazing light up hot air balloon spectacle. Other attractions at this event include: glitter tattoo artists, balloon twisters, a juggler and several carnival rides. What’s Halloween without some bats? Kids can learn about real bats and their habitats at the live bat exhibit from Bat Conservation International. All of these activities will probably make you hungry, luckily several food vendors have signed up to offer some grub at the Great Goblin Glow.
