WEB new library - Square Cow Moovers

It’s hard to believe that a community nearly fifty years old is only just now getting a permanent location for its library.  The new Lake Travis Community Library will open in early 2013. Located on Lohman’s Crossing, the new library facility will provide community members with a great place to meet, read, study, and participate in fun group activities.  The library has been closed since December 10, but during the interim staff members have been hard at work.  The Lake Travis Community Library offers a diverse range of programs for the youngest community members on up to retired individuals.  Library programming includes: children’s story times, a mother-daughter book club, adult book clubs, a memoir writing group, a knitting club, a genealogy group, cooking classes, yoga, and even story time with a therapy dog!  Staff members hope to hold the grand opening soon and resume hosting these programs.  New shelves arrived earlier this month and staff members are setting up books in their new home.  The modern library building is a great new asset to the community.  If you would like to volunteer at the library or help with the move, see the LT Community Library website for more info: http://laketravislibrary.org/index.htm
