We all know what’s been weighing heavily on your mind, the state of your linen closet! Okay, so maybe most of us have more important things to worry about, but you have to admit, sometimes its the small things that can make a huge difference! There’s no time like the present, especially during a move to get your linen closet in order!
- Clean-Out: You know those ratty old towels, that have shrunk at the ends, get rid of them. At the very least move them out to the garage rag pile so you can use them to wash the dog or car, etc.
- Color Code: Different color towels for family members and guests will help end some confusion and speed up the process of putting towels away. If you have blue guest towels that are ONLY used for guests, they will last a lot longer and you won’t be stuck with embarrassing towels when you have some last minute guests. Go ahead and invest in some nicer towels for your spouse and yourself, while the kids can use a slightly less pricey version. If you have teens you may want to get white towels because many acne medications can bleach towels!
- Create More Space: Add towel bars to the back of the door and you will instantly have more storage space in your linen closet, not to mention easy access for towels on heavy rotation.
- Corral those Cloths: Smaller wash clothes stacked up have a tendency to fall over, store them in a box so they stay put.
