You never known what treasures you’ll find at a garage sale. So imagine the possibilities when a citywide event is held. That’s the idea behind the Austin City-Wide Garage Sale. Throughout the year The Vintage Market & Event Co. produces grand garage sales with dozens of sellers set up all in one place.
If you’ve never checked it out it’s definitely worth the admission price. Deals are in abundance and even if you go in there to window shop it’s almost a guarantee you’ll find something that’s worth bartering for.
Who Will Be There
Besides a lot of bargain shoppers, the Austin City-Wide Garage Sale also attracts a lot of exhibitors. These exhibitors will cover every inch of the floor selling items of every kind. Basically anyone can be an exhibitor, however if you plan to sell you have to be able to provide the organizers with an Austin Sales Tax permit upon registration.
People from all over the surrounding area come to see what will be offered up. You can expect there to be decent crowds throughout the day, especially when they open the doors Saturday morning.
What You’ll Find
One thing’s for sure – you won’t find anything new at the Austin Citywide Garage Sale. One of the few guidelines that exhibitors have to adhere to is that they can only sell antique, used and second-hand items.
What will be offered up is just about anyone’s guess. But there’s a good chance you’ll be able to find:
