Do you want to get back to nature this weekend?  Well, you can do just that by learning all about trees, plants, water, wildlife and the land on which you live.  The good folks of Texas A&M Forest Service, Texas Parks and Wildlife, and the U.S. Forest Service Department of Agriculture are all helping to sponsor and put on the 2013 Texas Wildlife Woodland Expo.  Through hands-on clinics, live demonstrations and free activities, you and your little ones can learn how to nourish plants, trees and wetlands, attract wildlife to your property and protect yourself from wildfire.  Help your children to better understand and respect the environment they live in by bringing them to the Wildlife Woodland Expo.  Your kids can also participate in a variety of free activities including: archery, a rock climbing wall, kayaking, a petting zoo, creating pottery, geocaching, fly fishing, face painting, Dutch oven cooking, hay rides, games, arts and crafts, live music, and your child can even get their picture taken with Smokey the Bear! This event will be held on Saturday March 23, at Lone Star College from 10 AM to 4 PM.  For more information: http://expo.tamu.edu/default.aspx
