Lake Travis is a portion of the Colorado River that wraps around Hudson Bend. It’s also the name of one of the communities along the lake in Volente, TX. Dozens of communities line the shores offering residents every modern convenience imaginable. The only thing rivaling the view are the upscale homes sitting atop the cliff slides.

People of all ages love living on Lake Travis. Volente Beach Waterpark & Resort is a hot spot during the spring and summer where kids can play and parents can relax. Bob Wentz Park at Windy Point is one of the most frequented camping destinations in Central Texas. Even if you aren’t camping for the night you can claim a spot on the beach for the day and have a picnic. Arkansas Bend is another popular camping and hiking spot on the banks of Lake Travis.

Getting to Downtown Austin

  • Hop on 2222 E
  • Take MoPac south
  • Take the 5th Street exit and go east until you reach downtown
