We recently opened our first location in Nashville, Tennessee. We are delighted to have a branch in Music City, home to the Grand Ole Opry and great BBQ. You might want in on the fun too! The best time to visit Nashville will depend on your family, interests, and what you want to do. Nashville has a population of over 715,000 residents. The city hosted approximately 16.1 million visitors in 2022. Each season in Nashville is great in its own way, but we can help you narrow down the best time to visit Nashville.
Nashville in Spring
Spring is arguably one of the best times to visit Nashville because the average temperatures in April and May hover around the 70s. In early April, the humidity is fairly low, the temperatures are comfortable and the cherry blossoms downtown are beautiful. Awesome events in April include Nashville Fashion Week, Tin Pan South (the world’s largest songwriter festival), the Cherry Blossom Festival, and the Nashville Film Festival.
Nashville in Summer
If you want to visit Nashville with your kids, summer is one of the best seasons because you don’t have to worry about taking your kids out of school. Some of the biggest Nashville events also occur in the summer like the CMA Music Festival in June and Bluegrass Nights at the Ryman. Downsides to a summer Nashville visit include steamy, humid weather and larger crowds.
Nashville in Fall
Fall is the other sweet spot time to take a vacation to Nashville because the weather is moderate and enjoyable. Highs in September and October range from the low 80s to the 70s. Notable fall events include festivals (there are 15 festivals in fall in Nashville) and the GMA Dove Awards in October. Most of the summer crowds will also have died down.
Nashville in Winter
While winter in Nashville can include temperatures from the upper 20s to the 40s, it is not as cold as many parts of the country during the same time of the year. In December, you can enjoy Christmas decorations at Belle Meade Plantation and the Opryland Hotel. There will be fewer visitors to Nashville during the winter and you can get better deals on hotels (excluding the holidays). The CMA Awards happen in early November and the holiday season is a great time to tour Belmont Mansion.
