This Saturday, October 20, The Woodlands Wildflower Festival will be held at Rob Fleming Park in The Woodland’s Village of Creekside Park.  The Woodlands Development Company, The Woodlands Convention and Visitors Bureau, and The Brickman Group are all sponsors of this event.  The Festival will take place from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  While it may be difficult to get your hands on some Bluebonnets in October, you can at least get some Texas Bluebonnet seeds at the Wildflower Festival.  Other seeds available at this event include: the Black-Eyed Susan, the Scarlet Flax, and the Drummond Phlox.  If you want to enjoy spring flowers in the garden of your new home, October and November are actually good months to plant wildflower seeds.  At the Festival children can enjoy free inflatable rides, a petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, and a balloon artist.  The Woodlands mascot, Puffy Pine Cone, will make an appearance between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM to pose with children for free photos.  Adults can peruse displays of native plants and environmental exhibits.  To learn more about this fun, free, family-friendly event, please visit this site: http://www.woodlandsonline.com/npps/story.cfm?nppage=48773
