If you are a Texas transplant or have recently moved to The Woodlands area, it’s time to start becoming a true Texan. Attending a county fair and rodeo is a time-honored Texas tradition, so pull on your cowboy boots and and put on a ten gallon hat to attend the 56th Annual Montgomery County Fair and Rodeo, opening this weekend.
The fair and rodeo will take place from April 5th through April 14th at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Conroe. Live entertainment at this event includes Aaron Watson on opening night, Friday, April 5th, and Micky & The Motorcars, the following evening, Saturday, April 6th. The Caboodlestoppers a family-friendly, crazy, comedy show, which was featured on ABC’s Wife Swap, will also be performing from April 5th through April 9th. Other activities at the Montgomery Fair & Rodeo include the Ham Bone Express Pig Races and a Kid’s Pedal Tractor Pull. There will also be plenty of good ol’ rodeo competition, a BBQ cook off, and of course, great food. You may even get lucky and see some cows there!
