Ch-ch-changes are inevitable during a move, here are a few of many things to change when you move.
- Change your address. Do it here: https://moversguide.usps.com/icoa/icoa-main-flow.do?execution=e1s1 Unfortunately your bills and junk mail will still follow you to your new home. On the plus side your mailman now knows where to deliver your favorite magazine and any packages.
- Change the address on your driver’s license. Do it here: https://txapps.texas.gov/tolapp/txdl/ Do this a few weeks before your move, so you have some time to get your new license in the mail. Don’t worry, in the meantime you get a nifty temporary license that you print out.
- Change your locks. Once you get to your new house, change your locks. Otherwise it’s just weird to live in a house that someone else has the keys to, not to mention a safety concern.
- Change your socks. Okay so we only included this because it rhymes with the last suggestion. However, do keep an eye (or a nose) on the condition of your socks during a move. Nobody wants smelly, wet, socks, especially during a summer move.
Here’s hoping you have a safe and odorless move!
