If you have recently moved to the Austin area or if this will be your first Christmas in this city, there are a few great Austin traditions you won’t want to miss out on.  You have probably heard about the Trail of Lights and the Zilker Tree, but have you heard about the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar?  This year marks the 37th season for the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar, making this one of Austin’s oldest holiday traditions.  At the Bazaar you will find every kind of Christmas gift imaginable from art to jewelry and guitars. This great tradition brings many different artists who work with a diverse multitude of mediums together.   Art is a great gift, because the recipient won’t already have it and can’t receive two unique and one-of-a-kind pieces.  The Bazaar isn’t just about shopping either, you can listen to live music from open to close (11 AM – 11 PM) and there’s even a full bar! The Armadillo Christmas Bazaar occurs from December 12-24, so you can shop until the last minute on Christmas Eve.  Admission is $8 on nights and weekends and $5 on weekdays before 7 PM.  For more information: http://www.armadillobazaar.com/
