If you keep a little basket with keys, sun glasses and mints by the door, will this cut down on time running back in for the little thing you forgot? Perhaps you can streamline walking the dog by keeping the leash and doggie bags in a jar by the door. Instead of keeping your spare set of sheets in the guest bathroom linen close, why not in a trunk at the foot of your bed. Think about how you load or unload a dishwasher, silverware could go in the closest drawer. Glasses could be placed in a cabinet next to the refrigerator or sink for easy access to water.
