You don’t have to be a self-proclaimed geek to enjoy the SXSW Interactive action. In a day and age when so much happens online it’s cool for anyone to get to see all the newest technology that could change the way we entertain ourselves and do business.

There’s a lot that business owners can take away from SXSW Interactive. You’ll get so many marketing ideas the hardest part will be deciding which one to try first. There are also services and products that can help you make transactions – for instance the Square iPhone attachment was being used at SXSW 2010. Business owners can also learn about how consumers are using technology and social media to make purchasing decisions.

With over 800 sessions between March 7th to 11th this year there’s sure to be some insight for every type of business.  In between discussions hit the Trade Show to get hands on with all the latest gadgets and tools before your competitors.

Square Cow Movers on Social Media

We may be cows, but we know a thing or two about gathering our herd online. We’re not sure how everything works behind the screen, but it definitely works for us.

Website/Blog

If you want to be in business you’ve got to have a website. We’ve put a lot of time and energy into making our website as informative and helpful as possible for visitors. You can learn about our services, service areas, request an instant quote and learn how to get a hold of us. The blog was added to provide visitors with moving tips, how to guides and to keep everyone in the know with what’s going on at Square Cow Movers.

Facebook

After the website, a Facebook page is a business’s next best friend online. It’s a great place for making announcements, like when new blog posts are added, sharing fun cow tidbits that we come across and connecting with customers.

Pinterest

Pinterest is one of the latest social media services to hit the web, and it’s a fun way to share your ideas visually. Create boards around different topics then “pin” pics and videos you find around the web – for us we’ve got moving, home décor and cows among other boards. It’s beneficial for businesses because when someone pins one of your pics to their board it links back to your site.

Google+

A lot of people wonder how Google+ is different than Facebook. For starters you have circles of friends, which allows you to fine tune the messages you send. You can send them to just one group, say business associates, or to everyone in all your circles. It also brings all of your Google apps together in one place including Google news and Analytics.

Twitter

Only have a few minutes to let followers know the latest update? Can you say it in 140 characters or less? Then Twitter is where you want to post to keep everyone up to date with what’s going on in your business.

LinkedIn

This is a more business oriented social sphere. It’s a great place to connect with other people in your industry, let others know about your business and add updates that are related to your business activity and growth.

We’re serious about our moving business, but our social accounts are where we get to have some fun and learn about the people we work with. Connect with us to see our social media in action!
