Don’t let the title of this blog fool you!  While we may consider our Houston moving company team all-stars, this party is for the real thing.  Stars, as in massive, luminous spheres of plasma held together by gravity, are an incredible sight to behold on a clear, spring night, especially deep in the heart of Texas (we couldn’t resist). Stargazing from a pasture is a common cow pastime, that many herds enjoy; however, sometimes humans forget to go outside and look up!

The Star Party will take place at, appropriately enough, Lone Star College-Montgomery.  Astronomy professor Dr. Aaron Clevenson will give a special family-friendly presentation on “Things that Go Bump in the Night-Cosmic Calamities” on Wednesday, April 17 at 7 PM.  An outdoor viewing of the nighttime sky from the college’s soccer field will follow.  Children and adults can participate in a treasure hunt for stars, star clusters, stellar evolution, constellations, and supernovas.  Everyone who completes the treasure hunt will be eligible for door prizes!  This is a great opportunity to take advantage of a free astronomy lecture and attend a kid-friendly event.  Tell us what you find in the star treasure hunt on our FaceBook page!
